Registration Process

Setup takes less than a minute on our website and along with configuring roles and adding users is entirely free. Configuring your administrator user access is done at the same time with minimal information which is used for security purposes and optional notification alerts.

Configuring User Roles

We use roles to simplify user onboarding process while assuring consistency. We recommend setting up separate roles for management team, field operations, boat owners, crews, and occasional users such as charter clients or fractional share/club members. For each role you can enable any feature, plus we offer options to setup view only modes with, and without ability to add limited content, giving you total freedom and flexibility at no extra cost.

Unlimited Users

You can add unlimited number of users free of charge. This means that every office employee, service technician, vendor/third-party employee, and even charter client can have individual access to the information you deem allowed for them. Your employees will greatly benefit from having full control of information in the field on their mobile device, while having your clients log condition reports and share found issues in real-time can significantly speed-up repairs, resulting in less down time and higher customer satisfaction. Once you create a new user and assign role & boat(s) access, this person will receive an invitation email and confirm receipt and create their login credentials in one simple step.

Custom Logs & Reports

Our Report Wizard is included at no cost and lets you create any custom Usage Log or Condition Report to suite your business model. Easily reproduce any paper or other format you use today and let your staff & customers start logging their input right away. Captured data automatically drives maintenance and can be used to create service items.

Fleet Management

Adding and configuring boats is easy with TreMate. We allow for any types of boats, engine types and configurations, as well as tracking any number of tank levels. Depending on your business model you may also track owner’s and crew contact info, track onboard inventory, choose notifications settings, and even export maintenance and service data.

Tracking Equipment Usage

Each equipment that has an hour meter or should have maintenance based on elapsed/usage time should be added individually. We recommend adding each engine, generator, watermaker, and even dinghy outboard motor separately, so you can configure proper maintenance schedule for each one. Custom labels and icons make it easy to grasp the info.

Tracking Tank Levels

You can track multiple tank levels with TreMate, including fuel, water, waste, and even dinghy or spare tanks. Our simple interface allows for custom labels and icons, making it very simple and intuitive.

Maintenance Setup

Setting up maintenance is a simple 3-step process. After selecting equipment and title, you specify how often you wish to have it performed, entering hours and/or calendar days and letting system figure our which one comes first. In the last step you can add service instructions, links to parts and video tutorials, photos, and even videos, assuring that maintenance is performed correctly and efficiently. Additionally we can also configure identical maintenance items for similar equipment with a simple swipe of a finger – a must for multi-engine boats.

General Reminders

You can also setup general reminders for tasks such as insurance, permits, and other policy renewals, that occur once, monthly, or annually. This feature is also perfect for tracking expiration dates that are well into the future, but have a tendency of being forgotten, such as flares and other safety equipment.

Boat Service

Performing Maintenance Work

Each maintenance item is visually tracked on your home page, and once its due a service item will be automatically generated, with an email and/or an in-app notification. For each maintenance instance, we are capturing current hours, include all your notes, links, and photos so you quickly gather necessary parts and perform work without searching through manuals or reference guides. Once your service is completed, just go back to maintenance, and tap Reset button so tracking restarts once again.

Servicing Your Boats

Every time work needs to be performed or task completed a service item should be created, with placeholder for notes, comments, photos, equipment hours. It will automatically contain complete audit trail from its inception to resolution. Service items can be assigned to your staff, boat owner or crew, or any user who has access to this boat.

Service History

TreMate automatically logs all service items and has a dedicated search for all completed work, so it is easier to find your records. Additional filtering tools help quickly narrow search so only relevant information is displayed.

Manuals and Documents

We offer unlimited storage for boat documents and manuals, which may also include your custom notes. This information is available to any user with access to the boat. Finding any document or manual is very simple with our Smart Search and all documents are stored in the Cloud so they are available on any device anywhere in the world.

Expenses

We track expenses separately in TreMate, because some clients prefer to use another third-party or custom build solution. Each expense item can be entered separately, with scans/photos of receipts, assigned to a category and, if desired, linked to a Service Item for convenient cross-reference.

Onboard Inventory

This popular feature lets you map the boat for storage locations and log the inventory of safety gear, spare parts, and other items included with the boat. Add multiple levels and as much detail as desired. All items are searchable using Smart Search and dedicated storage search, and Shopping List feature automatically creates a Checklist of items that are out.

Personal Features

For each user we provide private Checklists, Notes, and My Files features, that make it convenient to access frequently used information, as well as to help users with repeatable tasks. Most smartphones offer these features, but saved information is quickly buried under a mountain of other notes, photos, and data, and is often unintentionally deleted or lost.

Automatic Cloud Sync

TreMate Manager is a real-time app that requires internet connection to continuously sync each user’s data with cloud servers, making the information instantly available to everyone in the company. In the event a mobile device is lost or damaged, users can use any other device to instantly access the needed information.

Any Device, Web Browser, or TreMate App

We support all devices including laptops, tablets, and mobile phones, rendering information in a best possible way based on users’ preference. Users can also download our free TreMate app from Apple and Google stores making it more convenient to access the data.

Transfer Records

Once boats are phased out of service, you can transfer entire account to its owner. Most owners will gladly pay premium to have all manuals, service records, and full maintenance schedule configured when they take over the boat.

Pricing

Our pay-per-boat model is billed annually using a sliding scale. First 3 boats are billed at $100 each, boats 4-9 are $75 each, and all succeeding boats are billed at $50 per boat per year. You may setup an ACH billing or use a credit card for initial and recurring payments.

For companies who wish to retain their brand and apps created by other vendors, we offer custom implementations that include clients’ logo and color schemes, stand-alone mobile apps, provide APIs for integration with other apps and sites created by others, or fully integrated web and mobile solution.
